4th of July Picnic - Town of Thompsons: Saturday, July 4, 2026 in the Thompsons City Hall/Community Center beginning at 3:00 PM.  
Mosquito Update: The Town of Thompsons now contracts with Gillen Pesticide to spray after rain events for mosquitos.   You can do your part by emptying standing water or treating with mosquito dunks..   Fort Bend County Health has four mosquito traps in the Thompsons area to monitor for West Nile Virus.    They place new traps on Monday and check them on Tuesday and will spray if disease is detected. Thompsons has upped its mosquito spraying schedule for rain events and twice a month if needed.
